Terms of Service

Effective date: April 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the StreetTongue website at streettongueapp.com and the StreetTongue mobile application (together, “the Service”), operated by DaxTech LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, doing business as StreetTongue App (“StreetTongue,” “we,” “us,” “our”). Our registered address is 732 S 6th St Ste N, Las Vegas, NV 89101, United States.

By accessing the website, creating an account, or purchasing any tier, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Relationship to Apple and Google. These Terms are between you and DaxTech LLC only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”) or Google LLC (“Google”). Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content. Where you install the Service from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must also comply with Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions or Google Play’s Terms of Service, respectively.

The Service

StreetTongue is a language learning app focused on street-level pronunciation and real-world fluency. The Service includes:

• Phrase practice with audio, phonetic guides, and pronunciation scoring
• Flashcard review using spaced repetition (SRS)
• Scripted conversation practice and scenario challenges
• Reading comprehension and listening exercises
• AI-powered conversation practice and grammar explanations (Complete and Premium tiers)
• Text and voice translation (Complete and Premium tiers)
• Cultural communication tips for specific cities and dialects

The Service is available as a mobile app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and via the website at streettongueapp.com for account management and direct purchases.

Age Requirement

StreetTongue is rated 16+ in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Keeping your account information accurate and up to date

Do not share your account credentials with others. Accounts are for individual use only and are not transferable.

License Grant

Subject to these Terms, DaxTech grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Service on any compatible device that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes only. The Service is licensed to you, not sold.

For Apple App Store installations, this license is further governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions Usage Rules, including the right to access and use the app on up to five (5) Apple devices associated with your Apple ID and permitted Family Sharing use.

For Google Play installations, this license is further governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.

Payment Terms

StreetTongue offers the following tiers:

All paid tiers are one-time purchases. There are no monthly or annual subscriptions. There are no recurring charges of any kind. Your access to all features included in your tier is permanent.

Lifetime Access

All features included in your paid tier are active permanently. There is no expiry date, no renewal requirement, and no recurring charge.

Pronunciation scoring, AI conversations, and other features that use external infrastructure (speech recognition, AI models) remain active for life under your tier with no additional payment, subject to continued availability of the Service and the underlying third-party providers.

Refund Policy

In-app purchases (iOS and Android): All purchases made through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing are subject to Apple’s or Google’s respective refund policies. Contact Apple or Google directly to request a refund. StreetTongue has no authority to issue refunds for in-app purchases.

Web purchases (Stripe): For direct purchases made through streettongueapp.com via Stripe Checkout, refund requests should be sent to support@streettongueapp.com. We evaluate web-purchase refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

If you have an exceptional circumstance with an in-app purchase, email support@streettongueapp.com and we will do our best to help facilitate a resolution.

User Audio

When you use pronunciation or speaking features, you submit short audio recordings (“User Audio”). By submitting User Audio, you grant StreetTongue a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to transmit that audio to our third-party speech-processing provider (Microsoft Azure Speech Services) solely for the purpose of returning pronunciation feedback to you within the Service.

We do not retain User Audio. It is held in memory only for the duration of the scoring request and is not written to any database, file system, or cloud storage on our side. See our Privacy Policy for details. Your User Audio is not used to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent.

You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to submit any content you provide through the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Access or use the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) without written permission
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials to any other person
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Use AI-generated content from the Service to train, fine-tune, or develop competing machine learning models or services
• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract lesson content, audio, or AI-generated content

Account Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time by going to Settings, then Delete Account in the app, or by emailing support@streettongueapp.com. Deletion removes your personal data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deletion does not entitle you to a refund.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your access to paid features ceases immediately. We are not obligated to provide a refund upon termination for cause.

Sections of these Terms intended to survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Dispute Resolution) will survive.

Intellectual Property

All content in the Service, including phrase libraries, audio recordings, conversation scripts, cultural guides, software, design, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to DaxTech LLC.

By using the Service, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes only.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our express written consent.

In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, DaxTech, not Apple or Google, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

AI Generated Content

The following features use AI to generate content in real time:

• AI Conversations (Complete and Premium tiers, via OpenAI)
• Custom AI-generated scenarios (Complete and Premium tiers)
• Text and voice translation (Complete and Premium tiers)

AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is intended as a practice aid and should not be treated as authoritative instruction. StreetTongue is not responsible for any decision, action, or outcome resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

Similarly, pronunciation scores are approximations produced by Microsoft Azure Speech Services. Scores are a learning tool, not a linguistic certification.

Maintenance and Support

DaxTech is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the Service, as required by applicable law and as described in these Terms. Neither Apple nor Google has any obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the Service.

Product Liability and Consumer Claims

DaxTech, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for addressing any user or third-party claims relating to the app or your possession or use of the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.

Legal Compliance and Export Restrictions

The Service may be subject to U.S. export laws and the laws of the country where you are located. You represent and warrant that:

• You are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and
• You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

You agree to comply with all applicable domestic and international export laws and regulations.

Third-Party Terms

The Service incorporates or interoperates with third-party software and services. When using the Service you must comply with the applicable terms of those third parties, including:

• Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (for App Store distribution and In-App Purchases)
• Google Play Terms of Service (for Play Store distribution and Google Play Billing)
• Microsoft Online Services Terms (for pronunciation features powered by Azure Speech Services)
• OpenAI’s applicable API terms (for text-based AI features)
• Stripe Services Agreement (for direct web purchases)

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StreetTongue disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
• Pronunciation scores will be accurate or consistent across devices and accents
• AI-generated content will be correct, complete, or appropriate for all learners
• The Service will meet your specific language learning objectives

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StreetTongue’s total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid to StreetTongue in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

StreetTongue is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of profits, loss of learning progress, or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, please contact us first at support@streettongueapp.com. We will attempt to resolve the issue informally.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within 30 days, both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration or, where arbitration is not permitted, to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.

Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, excluding its conflict of law rules.

EU/EEA and UK residents: If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you may also have recourse under mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

Apple and Google as Third-Party Beneficiaries

You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of the app on Apple devices, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

To the extent applicable under Google Play’s Developer Distribution Agreement, Google, and Google’s subsidiaries, are also third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of the app on Android devices obtained through the Google Play Store.

Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any breach does not constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days notice by posting a notice on the website or by emailing the address associated with your account.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
