Accessibility

StreetTongue is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our website and fix accessibility issues as we find them.

What we have done

  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard users
  • Semantic page structure using proper heading levels and landmark regions
  • All form fields have visible labels
  • Error messages are announced to screen readers
  • Navigation menus work with keyboard and screen readers
  • Text meets minimum color contrast ratios
  • Animations respect the "reduce motion" operating system preference
  • Images have descriptive alternative text
  • The site works without JavaScript for core content

Known limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

  • Blog comments are powered by a third-party service and may not be fully accessible
  • Some older blog posts may have images without alternative text
